WHAT YOU WILL FIND

Jackson is interlaced with 156+km of cross-country ski trails that connect not only the
center of the village with the surrounding mountains, but also a wide variety of lodging
establishments. A base facility in the middle of the village houses the Nordic Skier nordic shop
for all your ski needs and the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation. The Foundation is
chartered to maintain the trails and to extend friendly advice.

WHEN YOU CAN SET UP THIS PACKAGE

This package plan is available mid-week during the months of January and March.
Should you wish to extend into a weekend, please plan to spend both Friday and Saturday
at the same inn.

HOW TO SET UP YOUR INN SAMPLER SKI VACATION

* First, look through Jackson's lodging and services guide. Check out the listing below and
the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce site. Then select the lodging that interests you.

* Second, call the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation (1-800-927-6679) for advice on trails
and the "ideal" order of days for the inns you have selected.

* Next, call for reservations using Jackson Lodging Information's 1-800-866-3334 central
reservations number. It is important that you call to make sure that the inns have rooms available.
Please indicate that you will be sampling the inns of Jackson, so that they can keep track of their
shuttling requirements. Also, as each inn has its own flavor, each will vary in their offerings and price.

* Finally, wax your skis, pack the bags, kiss the dog and cat, and head towards Jackson (bring
your smiles, leave your worries behind).

CARS AND CLOTHES

Each morning at 10 and again at 4 in the afternoon, the innkeepers shuttle skiers to their cars or trailheads.

Example:

The driver of your party should take your car and luggage to your next inn. At 10am your new host
will bring you back to your party to enjoy the day's skiing. Your plans can include a variety of options,
but you should plan to be at your next night's lodging to check in by late afternoon.

The alternative (if you want to get an earlier start than 10am) would be to ski during the day. After
arrival and check in at your new inn, return via shuttle at 4pm to get your vehicle and belongings.

The inn sampler shuttle service is only available on weekdays excluding holiday weeks). Also a few inns
have limited shuttle service, please check with them when you make your reservation. If your sampler
includes a weekend, plan to stay for two days at the establishment you choose for Saturday and Sunday.

FRIENDLY HINTS

* Because your vehicle and luggage will be shuttled to your next night's lodging, you need only carry a
day pack with your normal day-tour supplies. If you need advice on day-tour supplies, ask at the Foundation.
Be sure to carry some change for hot chocolate stops and maybe a hearty lunch at yet another inn or restaurant
along the way.

* One day isn't enough to soak in the flavor of each inn. Plan to spend at least two nights at each inn on your
agenda. You will be better able to sample their ambiance and you won't feel so rushed.

* With the quality of our establishments, we have used inn, lodge, and motel interchangeable in this description,
please consult the lodging and services guide for details.

* For your convenience, your trail pass for your entire stay can be added to your bill at your first lodge.

* The Foundation publishes maps of the trails. These publications offer an invaluable aid in planning your route.
