During the week of the Junior Olympics, March 5-12, the Organizing Committee has assembled a number of activities for the racers, coaches and our friends and visitors to enjoy. It is our hope that everyone will have a better idea of the wealth of attractions and activities that the Mt. Washington Valley has to offer and have just as much fun off the race course! Our Junior Olympic Hospitality Desk at the Touring Center will be staffed with volunteers throughout the week to answer any questions. The hours are as follows:Saturday and Sunday, March 4th and 5th: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM; daily Monday, March 6th - Saturday, March 11th opening at 7:30 AM. We look forward to sharing the White Mountains with you!

Guided Day Hike to Tuckerman Ravine

Maple Sugarhouse Tours

Stop by anytime and visit the Lucy Family Maple Sugarhouse on West Side Rd. in North Conway and learn how real maple syrup is created!

Ice skating in the Ham Ice Arena, Conway

No matter the weather, enjoy some ice skating in the Mt. Washington Valley’s new ice arena.
$3/pp for racers and coaches with credentials; $4/pp all others

Thursday, March 9th

Enjoy a Day at the Mt. Washington Hotel, Bretton Woods
One of the last of the grand hotels in New Hampshire, and opened for the first time during the winter season, enjoy a day at this magnificent resort. Free tours of the hotel are available at 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Lunch may purchased at the hotel. 2-person sleigh rides are available from 1:00 - 3:30 PM (conditions permitting, reservations required: call 278-1000).
Cross-country skiing, tubing, skating and downhill skiing are ongoing throughout the day
(costs for all activities will vary)

Friday, March 10th

Winter Sightseeing Tour on the Mt. Washington Auto Road
2:00-4:00 PM
This adventure begins at the base of the Auto Road at the Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center in Pinkham Notch. The Tour will take you just above treeline in a 10 passenger Ford van that has been fitted with a unique 4-track system to replace the wheels used during the summer. Enjoy views down into the 5,500 acre Great Gulf Wilderness area and over the majestic snow-covered peaks of the Northern Presidential Range! $10/pp racers and coaches with credentials; $35/pp all others; first-come, first-serve; conditions permitting.
